Is REW able to work with EQs like DBX?

Hi there,

Is REW able to work with parametric EQs like DBX? Or REW can only work with the designated EQ models in the software?

There is a "generic" setting under the "Equaliser" tab for any EQ not listed. However, it may take a bit of "trial and error" (i.e., sweep, tweak filters, sweep, re-tweak filters, etc.) for other equalizers, because the way filters are "configured" (for lack of a better term) varies from one EQ to the next. The trial and error could be bypassed by using REW's RTA mode.

I have another question. If using ECM8000 as the test mic, should I point the mic to each speaker during the test or pointing it to the ceiling?
