Re: Loopback issue

Can't you just use the sweep level control in REW?

Re: Loopback issue

yes i can it seems, i thought the sweep level wouldnt go down enough, but thats not the case, though the spl meter in rew has no sweep level , can i use this savely? or does this bypass the sweep settings from my preferences ?

Re: Loopback issue

The sweep level setting on the Measure dialog and the one in the preferences are the same, changing one changes the other. The SPL meter is fed from the input, to affect that you would need to change the input levels on your soundcard controls (note that you need to redo SPL calibration if you change input level settings).

Re: Loopback issue

Thank you , it worked I did a measurement with and without monitoring by the way and it didnt really make a diffrence. The monitoring seems only to affect the measurment of the soundcard.

Offtopic : My measurement is pretty flat frequencie wise , but i have quite a dip around the 100 hz, the rest of the low-end is okay, but its to much a diffrence to fix in eq settings i think (15 db). There is enough information about basstraps but what if there is to little bass at a frequentie, is there a roomacoustic solution for that ?

* thank you by the way for awnsering all questions that fast, i realy apreciate it.

Re: Loopback issue

There can be various reasons for big dips, but none of them are helped by trying to boost the dip, that pretty much universally makes things worse. Changing speaker or listener position can make a big difference, and so can acoustic treatment. You can get good advice on acoustic treatments in the Home Audio Acoustics forum here and at Gearslutz.
