I know theoretically I can apply a filter to whatever frequency I like but I have read that I should really try to apply filters to the lower frequencies. I cannot recall the exact reason for this. Assuming this is still sound advice, for practical purposes, what is the highest frequency I should apply a filter to? I have some dips at around 400hz that I would like to correct.
Between 10 and 400hz filters will have little if any effect on imaging but higher than that you don't want to apply any that are not done evenly on both channels. But a dressing room acoustics is the first thing to look at.
Ahh...thank you. Yes I already have bass traps and absorption panels at the first reflection points on the side walls and ceiling. Based on the waterfall graphs it looks like I may need more bass traps but that topic is for another thread.
Auto correct has gotten me into trouble many times! Thats why I have it off.
