BFD or Not

I'm trying to figure out what to make of the hump between 30 and 40HZ and the dip at 45HZ. The way the room is set up moving the subs is not an option. 2 Peerless 12" w/ passive radiators under each main. The first graph is subs only and the second is subs and mains. I'm wondering if a BFD would be of any help. Tommy D

Re: BFD or Not

When you calculate the BFD filters would you base them on the sub only or on the sub + Mains?

Cheers,
Mark

Do the initial setup of the filters with just the sub only. Then, measure with sub+mains, and adjust the phase/distance of the sub to get the smoothest response in the crossover region. At that point, you may also want tweak you filter settings a touch more, depends.
