How to set the initial 75dB level for REW?

How do we set the initial recommended 75dB level of the AVR when using the REW?I understand that we should have the SPL meter RS or CM-140 to measure the 75dB but is this on a certain frequency initially say at 4khz just like the Rives Audio manual test CD recommended?or the REW gives a initial sweep of the frequency band selected and adjust the AVR volume to get the 75dB level?Using the sweep signal will not give a steady dB output level and the SPL will read varying signal level right?or is it using the pink noise to set the 75dB level?

75db is achieved by sending pink noise to each channel one at a time using an SPL meter at the listening position.

or is it using the pink noise to set the 75dB level?
Yes, band limited pink noise dependant on the test signal (full or sub) that is selected in REW.

Be sure to read and become familiar with the REW HELP files.
