| How many source positions? how many measuring positions? Hi Does anybody know how many measuring positions and how many source positions should be used to measure RT60 and freq. response using the sweep sine signal method? I´m using an OMNI-DIRECTIONAL source in a room of around 6x6x4. I know some may say RT60 is not valid for a room this size, but the standards say I have to measure it and so I will. thanks for your input. Sergio | ||||

| Re: How many source positions? how many measuring positions? Hello, if you want to measure RT60 or frequency response in a "small room" (in term of acoustics) you need to have a lot of measurement point , i will say something around 20 to 30 measurement . In order to differentiate between the modal region and the statisticall region. Just keep in mind that in a small room wa are not really dealing with a reverberation time but more with modal ringing hope this help | ||||
