please help. getting frustrated.


im only at the check levels stage and im not hearing any test signal thats supposed to be generated by rew. I have the output of the spl meter connected into the input of the soundcard. and the output of the sound card connected to the V.AUX input on the front of my avr. Im not hearing any test tones.

thanks for all the help. i can faintly hear a pink noise when from a speaker but nothing from the subwoofer, which is all i want to test.

if i can find a way to make the pink noise dramtically louder then id be good to go. Its far too faint.

Make sure the volume control on the computer's OS is not turned down (I've been bitten by this one before). I assume you've tried adjusting the receiver's volume, and/or sub levels both in the receiver and the sub itself...

im making headway. I got noise to come out at high volumes!! i had to recalibrate the sound card. Now i just want to measure the sub and i have it selected as such in 'making measurements' but i still hear lfe coming from one of my speakers. normal?

Disconnect your main speakers when running sub only tests.

my level is too low it says -78. but when I go to check my levels my meter on the right reads -18 and the output is at -12. the meter that reads left doesnt budge from the bottom nomatter what i do

use graph settings of vertical = 45db-105dB and horizontal = 15Hz-200Hz
