| Double Compensation Risk Ok, so if I want to take my SPL measurements manually (and enter into excel using RAT Shack Meter) then import into REW for it to give me recommendations for BFD adjustments, would I take the uncorrected/uncompensated values from excel (Column C) export to a txt file (as opposed to Column D??) Then Import to REW for compensation advice (using the newrs.cal file). If I were to export import the values from Columnn Dot, I would think we would be "double dipping) Does this make sense? | |||

| Re: Double Compensation Risk Quote:
When you import .txt files into REW it doesn't use the meter calibration files. It only uses c-weight inverse compensation (or not). Since we know c-weight isn't accurate enough for an RS meter, then you must use the column in the Excel file with the meter calibration already baked in. Then when you load the file into REW and it asks about c-weight, say NO............. brucek | ||||
