| Preamp for external mic Is the UB802 the popular preamp for an external mic here? I have a guitar center near me, so I was thinking of picking up a ECM8000 this weekend. I was hoping for a much simpler preamp, but for the price it looks like that can't be beat. How is it on linearity? Can the EQ controls be bypassed so as not to color the mic response? Or can this be nulled out when generating a soundcard correction (just loop through the preamp instead of just looping through the soundcard. Just an idea, I don't even know if it's possible. Also, does the ECM8000 come with a cable? Sorry for so many questions. I already have two customers lined up that want to see their system performance (even though they have no EQ to correct any peaks I find). Thanks, Anthony | |||
