| Alternate Equipment I downloaded Room EQ to my Dell E-6500 laptop and plan to use it to test the response in my livingroom, Den and at work and friends homes etc. I looked over the instructions about the equipment etc. I have a Yamaha Model Stagepas 300 mic mixer and an Audio-Technica AT835b shotgun condenser mic. I this OK in place of the recommended equipment? | ||||

| Re: Alternate Equipment With a laptop you usually require an external soundcard since most laptops don't have a line-in port (they only have mic-in which is not suitable). If you have a line-in - you're fine there. The mic and preamp would be fine if you have a calibration file for the mic that can be loaded into REW. We supply calibration files on our download page for a couple mics and a few SPL meters that we recommend. brucek | ||||
