Room Eq Wizard

Whenever I choose device "SB PCI128 Record ..." I get the error "unable to access the selected device due to line with format PCM_SIGNED 44100.0 Hz, 16 bit, stereo, little endian not supported".
I also am unable to choose an input. I am using windows 98SE.
Does anyone know how to fix this?

Re: Room Eq Wizard

I know you may be using REW for pro applications, but I'm gonna move the question to the REW Forum since it's an REW issue. You should get more help there.

Re: Room Eq Wizard

Try using the SoundBlaster Control program to set the Output Audio Quality to 48kHz, 16 bits and ensure you select 48kHz as the sample rate in REW.

Re: Room Eq Wizard

Thank you for taking the time to answer my question.
When setting the quality to 48kHz, 16 bits, with the soundblaster control program and with REW, I get the error "unable to access the selected device due to line with format PCM_SIGNED 48000.0 Hz, 16 bit, stereo, little endian not supported".

Re: Room Eq Wizard

Are there any other applications running that use the soundcard?

Re: Room Eq Wizard

I don't think there are any other applications using the soundcard, not that I know of.
I also tried reloading the sound card software, but that didn't work.
I tried running msconfig in order to load only what is necessary to boot up windows98SE, but had the same results. I'm wondering if there is an older version of REW that doesn't cause the error on my computer.
