Problem settings input level in REW

REW detects no input control for my Indigo IO card

It seems that I get some feedback when I adjust the volume control on my pre to get a proper level of pinknoise out from REW.

I can't get a stable level when the feedback starts and I doubt it would be correct if I could

I did a couple of searches but couldn't find anything relative in the archives

Check that you haven't got a "monitor" option selected in your mixer for the soundcard. That is the usual cause of this fault.

No "monitor" option on the Indigo's console

Well , at least I got passed the BSOD! I'll have to keep looking, or maybe, think of inexpensive USB solution

Do you have any recommendations??

Are you able to post a picture of your mixer settings and also a picture of your REW screen?

This is a static shot of REW after I select "Set Input Volume" and the soundcard mixer board

You need to click the monitor mute buttons for the analog in (below the monitor pan sliders) otherwise the record input is mixed directly back to the output. The card has no control for the record level, if you are using a mic to record you can adjust level using the mic preamp, if using an RS SPL meter you should be OK with the dB range set to 80.

My thinking was that the "analog in" needed to be active for the SPL and measurement functions to work.
