My b4 + after

Here's my first attempt...not sure I'm doing it right, but it sounds better...

Oh, it's a Velodyne DLS-5000R and my AVR crossover's at 60Hz.

Re: My b4 + after

My first reaction is that the room or some other setting is holding back that rather nice sub you're using.

You have tamed that peak nicely and that's for sure why it sounds better, but your low end extension is rather challenged and I don't think it should be if I read this review of your subwoofer.

Are you using the direct mode and allowing your processor to cross for you? Do you have the subsonic filter too high perhaps on the sub?

What are your thoughts on this?

Re: My b4 + after

I'm going to try with a different soundcard instead of this IBM laptop and we'll see. Stay tuned.

My thoughts are that I'm an idiot who was afraid to turn the thing up! I'm getting much better charts now, I'll have something to show shortly

Re: My b4 + after

Ok, so here's the data with the sub's volume at 70 (double shipping default of 35 out of a total of 100):

Re: My b4 + after

Looks like you did a fine job. You might even boost that 21-22hz area back up to your target line... I noticed it got cut with your ajacent filters.
