| complete ssub novice - need help with first graph Hi all, just received my first subwoofer, a bk monolith. I have managed to run my first graph using the excellent REW software. I don't know how to interpret the graph, is it good or bad? how can i make improvements - i dont have a bfd | ||||

| Re: complete ssub novice - need help with first graph Normally, if you want evaluate your sub, you need to do the response check with the sub only. You want the crossover in your receiver set to its normal setting, and the mode set to stereo, but with the main speakers shut off. This way you are only looking at the sub and how it reacts with the room. Without a BFD, the only course of action you have avaliable to you is to move the beast around - front corners usually being the best. You have a main peak around 45Hz. Not uncommon...... I advise getting a BFD..... Cheap and effective. brucek | ||||
