SB Live External soundcard calibration not working

I'm using the new 4.0 version...

Connected all cables and set soundcard to settings from the thread at the stickies.

1) starting rew, going to settings, selecting inputs and outputs...
2) Then measuring the response of my soundcards, using a 3,5mm to 2xRCA --- RCA Cable - 2XRCA to 3,5mm loopback.

Now when measuring the 1kHz tone, it always shows a 4.8dB difference between input and output. All volume settings (wave, master, line in) on the soundcard are set to maximum... Changing sweep level does not alter this. Always 12-16.8 or 9-13.8... You

Any ideas?

Sounds like you have an internal loopback turned on. Check your soundcard settings for a "monitor" switch.

What type of soundcard is it?

I assume you tried both left and right channel?

Sounds like CMSS might be on, that drops the level at 1kHz by about 4dB - make sure the green CMSS LED on the unit is off.

As in the topic title, soundcard is a soundblaster Live 24bit external...

I thought I switched of the "monitor" setting, but maybe it was reset somehow...

Will test further later...
