Sound blaster live 24 installation

When installing the software for use with the REW only do I install the whole program or only the driver section?

I bought a new laptop computer with vista on it I tried to install the Sound Blaster 24 Live program and it dosen't function propertly. So I called the Sound Blaster tech support and they told me to go to their web site and download the new drivers for the sound blaster for Vista which I did and now the only choice I have for speaker selection is Headphone or 5.1. What do I do being that in your set up for the REW it is supposed to be set at 2.1, also I can't find a surround mixer setup. to adjust.

Use the headphone jacks and use the Windows mixer.

I choose the 5.1, but i used the line in, and the windows mixer. Like it is said in the instructions.
