Noob wondering about imic sound card

I'm sure this has been asked before, so please go easy on this Noob:

Will the Griffin imic work with EQ wizard? I've searched the forum for imic and only came up with one thread. I'm looking for an inexpensive sound card as money is very tight for me right now.

I'm just now getting intrested in room acoustics, so I don't know a lot. I have run some test tones and manually collected data with my RS meter to get a rough idea of where my problems are. I'd like to start moving furniture around and playing with treatments, but I don't want to manually collect data with every change I make.

I've farted around a bit with the help/instructions with REQ and it seems a bit complicated (at least my first time though most likely will be) so I'm sure I'll be back to ask more questions.

Thanks
Bob

I guess no one has used it, but I can’t think of a reason why it won’t work. REW calibrates the soundcard for flat response, if I’m reading this right...

Wayne

Re: Noob wondering about imic sound card

Thanks,
I was hoping someone had actually used it without any problems and not to be the Guiney Pig on this as I’m new to REW also. Not that it’s a huge expense, I’m just trying to be smart with what little funds I can use on this hobby right now.

Bob

You should be able to find the Soundblaster MP3+ at on-line vendors for a good bit cheaper. There has been a lot of those used here - including yours truly.

Wayne
