More than One Listening Positions

Does anyone use more than one listening position in deciding what filters to apply to BFD? If so, how do you decide which peaks to cut?

Re: More than One Listening Positions

I have my filters averaged. You could actually have one set for critical listening at a single spot and then an average set for when guests are there.

The way you do average is to take 8 different readings (or a number less than 9 anyway) at various listening positions and then go to the Average tab in REW and press the average button (with all eight plots checked to average). It will create a ninth measurement called average that you then create filters for. Works pretty good.

What I found was that all the positions were somewhat different except for a common room mode. The average certainly showed that. It's really the big room modes that are important. All the fussing to get a perfect line isn't really necessary...
