Input level, starts to decrease by itself

Hi!

I have got a problem with the input level and I can do no measurement. Currently I use a M-Audio Mobile Pre USB Audio Interface and a micro Behringer ECM8000 to do the measurements. I have no problems with the calibration of the sound card. In the next step, when I try to adjust input and output levels, I succeed it but in a few seconds, the input level, starts to decrease by itself until it gets nearly 0. From this moment, I can never increase the input level unless I start the process from scratch (sound card calibration and so on).

I would appreciate if you give me a clue about what it’s happening.

Thanks in advance

You shouldn't have to go through the soundcard calibration again because that is a file you create once and store in your computer.

If you perform the Check Levels routine and leave the routine running with the VU meters showing the level on both the input and output (don't hit Finish button), does the output level remain in the green/yellow and the input level slowly fades away? Is it the VU meter information that fades away and also the Input Volume figures actually change down from your setting to zero?

If the input volume setting is going to 0 on its own try setting REW so it does not control the input volume (uncheck the box on the soundcard settings page) and use your soundcard's volume control panel to set the input level.

At last, the problem was solved with a new micro. It didn't work correctly.

I Thank your answers.
