REW Ideas / Features

Hi There,

I just made a comment in my measurement thread about REW and potentialy useful features ideas...However since its buried in a thread and John & other people may not be particularly interested in digging through every thread for ideas, i thought i'd post them seperately :

BTW - Feel free to ignore these ideas or shoot them down, as ATM they are just mine. I'd also like to state that REW is a stunning program and i've been a firm fan for quite a few years, so these are by no means critisims, more constructions

Is there anyway in REW to change the trace colours manualy ?

It would also be nice to rename the graphs on the left as ATM its just a date and time...This would be especialy handy for going back to the data a few months later.

I'd also like to be able to add the Target trace onto the All Measured and Averaging pages.

I know for consumer miss-use and ease of hook ups that these days the output of REW is dual mono, so whichever one they hook up (or both as i now do) it will be correct - However it would be nice somewhere in the options to have a choice to defeat this and route via left/right/both...some form of tick box maybe. The reason is for dual outputs, like measuring L/R chanels for dual subs...if thought a bad idea i can always plug/re-plug etc, it would just be a niceity.

Ta,
Lee

To change the trace colour just click on the coloured disc at the top of the measurement info (next to the save icon). You can also change the colours (or reset them to defaults) from the View settings tab. To change the trace name just type your chosen name in the box at the top of the measurement info, next to the trace colour disc.

Re: REW Ideas / Features

Hi John,

Wow, that was both a quick response and a quick implimentation of the features

I'll have a play when i get home again tonight. I did try clicking on things, but obviously the wrong bits.

Thanks,
Lee
