You need a cable like this.

You should take time to read through the well written REW Help files. Everything you wanted to know and more.

brucek is correct on both counts. However, I will add that if PC already has a MIDI port or "game port" (most likely as part of your sound card), you can use a cable like this:

midicable.jpg

My SB Live! card has the MIDI connection, and I had a MIDI cable, so I was all set. If you have to go out and buy one or the other, I think I would go with the USB to MIDI cable suggested by brucek, as it will be more portable. But if you already have the parts...

Re: How do you get the info from RoomEQ to the 1124

I have a Yamaha sound card in my desk top it has a midi connect, and a line in.

what about this Sound card .... Sound Blaster Extigy 24bit ext sound card would this be a good one.
and I found this I maybe able to do more with this one ...Sound Blaster Audigy 2 ZS External I/O Hub w/Remote. This one also has midi so could I use this to also program the FBD

Are any Creative Sound Blasters good as long as they have a line in? Or just the soundblaster Live 24bit ext and not much else

All those sound fine to me. Just about any card will do if it has a line-in and line-out... it doesn't have to be anything special. REW corrects for any inadequacies..
