Soundblaster set up problems..

Hi Everyone,
Trying to get my Soundblaster live external usb soundcard set up. I installed all the software and started to calibrate it but the surround mixer only has volume, master volume and cd audio. Everything else is just a grey unnamed slider that I can't use. There is no midi, wave, or the two line in/mic in sliders. Any ideas?

I can't come up with anything. Are you saying in the Soundblaster mixer itself (nothing to do with REW), that most things are greyed out?

Can you post a picture of the mixer so we can see it?

What about the Windows Mixer (playback and record). Are you able to select wave and midi etc?

Did you load the software first and then plug in the USB device? Windows is finicky about that....

I called creative and they said that the SB Live external isn't compatible with Vista Anyone get this thing to work with Vista? I spent all afternoon trying to get it to work.
