| Re: Anyone get REW/soundblaster to work with Vista? If REW can't access the various volume settings via the device's driver it will not enable the corresponding controls, you then have to use the controls in the Windows mixer or the soundcard's own mixer (but sounds like you can't load that under Vista). | ||||

| Re: Anyone get REW/soundblaster to work with Vista? I don't think it works either. I'm trying to get a dual boot going but that only toasted my Vista boot loader and I had to reload my OS ![]() If anyone got it working with VIsta some tips would be appreciated. I have all this new equipment I can't use ![]() | ||||

| Re: Anyone get REW/soundblaster to work with Vista? Vista does not support DirectX sound, so unless you can load specific Vista drivers for your Soundblaster card you are out of luck. Basically you can either purchase an XFi Soundblaster or upgrade back to Xp Pro and regain compatibility. | ||||

| Re: Anyone get REW/soundblaster to work with Vista? Cruz, can you describe what's not working? Witht the latest drivers posted by Creative, I'm able to use REQW with a SB Live External. You won't have all of the controls available with XP. My biggest issue was I couldn't get the input/output level difference within the recommend range when doing the soundcard calibration, but the REQW docs said do the best you can in that case. Despite the lower than desired input level, my soundcard calibration and sub measurements look pretty much the same as they did when the same card/mic was used on an XP machine. -Brent | ||||

| Re: Anyone get REW/soundblaster to work with Vista? It's been a while so I'm not too sure. I used a friends old laptop with XP on it and it works fine but it's really slow. If I could buy the one in the link and not have any issues then I would, just to save some time and give my buddy his stuff back ![]() | ||||
