Software EQ?

Does anyone here know of some sort of software EQ. Like an active EQ that boosts everything going out of my soundcard.

A nice 24 Hz paraEQ boost of 3db, with a Q = 1, makes everything look better on the charts, and I was just wondering if anyone had a solution without spending big bucks on a DEQ or something.

- This could work, but was more than I am willing to spend

Maybe if I found a used one on ebay.. or on here.. or something. Software would be ideal though.

Re: Software EQ?

I think this might get more attention in the BFD | REW Forum.

Re: Software EQ?

Thanks for the link brucek, but it seems that setup will only EQ whatever is being played through WMP, WinAmp, or whatever other utility that allows for plugins. While that will work for music, does not quite solve everything. Games, movies, etc.

But if it does, and I just overlooked something, be sure and let me know.

Re: Software EQ?

I recall that one of my previous Sony Vaio laptops offered a feature like that, the Sonicstage Mastering Studio software it came with had a bank of various kinds of effects plugins that could be made active for all audio replay, one of them was parametric EQ.

Re: Software EQ?

While that would work, I don't think it is available to anyone other than Sony Vaio users, that come with the software installed. Any other ideas?
