| compatible sound card enquiry Hello everyone I am just about to embark on performing room eqalisation. The sound card I have in my computer is a hercules fortissimo III, is this ok. Just one other query (at this time), I have downloaded the sound meter corrections, how to I get these into the program. After downloading them I did try to open them, but my computer would not let me. I must say I admire your perseverance and patience in answering questions on the EQ/BFD thread. Regards:Alan | ||||

In short, the calibration file is actually a text (.txt) file that can be read and editted with Notepad by changing its extension from .cal to .txt temporarily. It is loaded into REW by pointing to its location in your computer in the Mic/Meter tab of the Settings screen. brucek | ||||||

| Re: compatible sound card enquiry No, I mean monitoring mode. I couldn't find too much in the manual of your card, but it's easy for you to simply load REW and play with it and find out. Just be sure to turn all the junk off except simple 2.0 stereo with no small, no equalizer, no mic, no everything. You only want line-in and the output line to work in wave. I see in this review that they do mention monitoring on the Other tab. Anyway, you can play around and find out. ![]() brucek | ||||
