This must be referencing the speaker tabs in the REW program... I'm guessing.

You should be able to click on a tab.

What GUI are you using?

Do you have the proper JAVA program loaded?

Btw... welcome to the Shack!

Re: Speaker tabs won't light up

I have the same problem/issue. All the tabs in the bottom right of the REW window stay grey, i.e. they do not apprear to be active. However clicking on each tab does bring up the appropriate tab page. I just assumed it was one of those querks of a program that has not had the benefit of lots of money and time spent on de-bugging. Who can complain, the program is free and does a great job, thank you John.

This is running on Windows XP on a PC.

Mike

Only the tab you click on is active anyway. You can view multiple measurements on multiple tabs by clicking on the View menu and selecting 5 Measured Reponses... then select the tabs in the right hand pane that you want to view on the graph.

Ouch! The tab shading is a feature, tabs stay grey until the channel has measured data, makes it possible to see which channels have measurements. That was introduced in the last version, but as noted here has the drawback that the tabs appear disabled. For the next version it has been changed so that the tabs are black until they have measurements, then they turn blue.

Oh dear! That was not meant as a criticism at all, hope you did not take that the wrong way, I was trying to make a compliment.

Ok I am a relative newcomer to the program, but I have not yet seen any of those tabs change colour or get darker. The only ones I have used are Left and Right, and I have unchecked all the filters as I don't use any, I make the measurments for left and right, and the tabs stay as they are. Perhaps I am doing something wrong?

Mike

Re: Speaker tabs won't light up

No worries, it is a fair comment and using grey wasn't terribly well thought out, which is why it has changed for the next release

You don't need to do anything re the tab text, when a channel (tab) has measured data the text changes from grey to black.

Re: Speaker tabs won't light up

I was able to click on the Sub tab last night. Looking forward to Friday when I will have more time to test.
