Need to calibrate RS SPL for rew?

Probably a dumb question but as a newb to REW I'm a bit confused.

I've got a RS 33-2050 analog meter and I'm not sure if I need to calibrate the meter prior to making measurements (on my subs) with REW. I'll be using a DSP1124P and wondered if I need to use the RS SPL calibration corrections or ???

I trust you've read REW HELP files. They are well written and are a wealth of information.

You will need to download the correct meter calibration file from our download page and load it into REW.

I read the help files, but still wasn't sure if I needed to run my own calibration, or simply (it seemed too simple) load the .cal files.

You do need to run the soundcard calibration routine though, to create a cal file specific to your card....
