| Yet another soundcard calib file problem The particulars: Soundcard: m-audio mobilepre (just installed) Computer: Windows XP run frankenstein pc (various computer parts have been upgraded over the years) Running a cable from the channel 2 inst/line plug to the 2/R Output Here's the graph I'm getting: ![]() I was able to get a perfect calibration file with my friend's (much newer/better) pc, and I got different graphs when trying to use my laptop. I also go slightly different graphs with my current pc. For example, with another calib file, the graph looks similar up from 20hz-1000hz, but it levels out smoothly above that unlike the graph above that goes haywire again around 6000hz. Obvious question: Any idea what I'm doing wrong here? JCD | ||||

| Re: Yet another soundcard calib file problem Try a slightly lower level than the recommended -6dB sweep setting and be sure that all effects and surround modes are shut off. brucek | ||||
