Can Schoerder Frequency be calculated in REW?

Hello All!

Is there a way to calculate the Schoerder Frequency in REW?

I think I could learn a bit more about my room from that...
Similar process maybe to this one...
http://www.soundandvision.com/conten...nd-tell-part-1

I will try RTA in room in various positions....but I am unaware if there is any utility to compute the "number", or if I can just infer from the graphics...

Thanks!

Here's a reasonable looking formula .

Don Davis suggests FL=3*c/Lmin,

Where c is speed of sound, Lmin is smallest room dimension.

There was mention of this on Studiotips forum/John Sayers

I'm just looking for a guide really. If I'm looking to absorb or diffuse early reflections I need an idea as to what frequency they are likely to start at.

Re: Can Schoerder Frequency be calculated in REW?

Thanks...That Lmin should be in which unit, I believe meters...

In that case mine would be 211 = 3* 344 / 4,88 (with)

I guess 344 meters per second is a standard for speed of sound at a medium temperature..and not far from sea level..

Meanwhile I found another formula from Linkwitz that depends on a estimated RT60 and the space volume (in M3) instead of with...
I can post later but results is below 211 certainly of I confirm my RT60 to be below 1sec.
