| Using Receiver's EQ Is it ok to use a receiver's EQ with REW to adjust subwoofer output? I have an Onkyo 875 and it has the follow EQ points; 16hz, 20hz, 25hz, 40hz, 63hz, 100hz, 160hz and 400hz. Cheers, JP | |||

| Re: Using Receiver's EQ You can use REW to get as ideal a situation on your subwoofer using your receiver but it will not be the same as having a stand alone unit equalizing all bands that you need fix if you need one. When I first used REW I used it solely for optimal placement because I could not yet afford an EQ. | |||

| Re: Using Receiver's EQ Quote:
They first use the AVR eq and after that's in place, they do an REW measure and set up the BFD to fine tune it. You have to be careful after that to not do another auto eq, as this will upset everything, and you'll have to start over.... brucek | ||||

| Re: Using Receiver's EQ Thanks for the input guys. Was thinking along the same line as Kal, to first use the REW to find a place to place my subwoofer, then use EQ. I will try and use my receiver's EQ first. If it does a satisfactory job, great! Otherwise I will get a BFD. Thanks again! | |||
