| does the before and after look ok? this is a treated room with a sealed door leading out. It is just a sub reading. The 32 hz area has been adjusted but it look like it is a room gain area. I will try to lower it a little more. I will be adding a 15" sub soon and will work on the 32 hz region then. i am happy with what I see. are you experts also? ttyl rex scates the first one (blue) is before the small adjustments. the second one (red line) is after the few adjustments. | |||

| Re: does the before and after look ok? Just a quick comment on the REW tool itself. You can load both measurements (assuming you saved them) into REW, and then click on the "all measured" tab that you can see in your images. That will plot both curves on the same graph making it simpler to compare the traces. | |||

| Re: does the before and after look ok? yeah i saw that but am curious how the room itself looks? I did not move anything just did a before measurement and added 3 small filters and did a after measurement. This was the first time I really got to see how my room came out. so what yah think? the REW does a calibration thingy before you do the add optimized filters that I noticed changes the house curve line. Also does the Radio Shack calibration the black line auto correct the measured values? i.e. if the black line is one the graph (loaded) it corrects the values on the grpah as its recorded? ttyl rex | |||

| one more pic with 5 filters i added a gain of a few db at about 56 (forgot exact value at moment). I have plenty of headroom in woofer. how does the sub look now? I took the advice of Wayne and some of his insights in using wider filters. i could get almost same reading with 2 drop adjustments and my one gain. take care rex | |||

| Re: does the before and after look ok? I think it looks pretty good now... Tip: The floppy icon button on the lower left of the graph is a SAVE graph hot button. Save your graph at the default 800 wide and we'll be able to see it a bit better. I'm going to delete the same post in the other forum section. ![]() brucek | |||
