what am I missing for impulse responce?

This is going to be one of those dumb questions. I’m sure the help files tell how to do this and I’m just not comprehending it.
I’m trying to do an impulse response with rew and I’m missing something.
Shouldn’t the sweep produce that loud click noise?
Is there a pull down menu option that I’m not turning on to get this measurement?

Impulses are not used directly to measure the response, mainly because it is hard to generate them (in very large venues small cannons or starting pistols are used, but they are exceptions). The impulse response is derived from the system's transfer function, which is determined from the system's response to the sweep.

Ok thanks John; I was expecting to hear something different from the normal sweep measurement.
Let me go back and see if I can get it to look like it does in the help files.
