So, I've hooked the mic up and tested it to make sure it works, but I still don't get a signal when I try to calibrate it.

That's all. I'm sure it's something small..?

Oh...I meant calibrate the SPL. You know, it plays pink noise and you put in the level showing on your SPL meter.


Actually, I can't afford a real mic right now, so I was trying to use the mic that came with my Pioneer Elite for the acoustic calibration the receiver does.

Basically, REW doesn't show any evidence of input while I tested it with the computer mic test and input was verified.

I was hoping to just get a relative idea of measurements.

I don't know for sure but that mic that came with your AVR might require a pre amp if it's used alone. That's the long answer, the short answer it won't work. Yep it's time to go out an buy more toys. Tis the season
