I have my BFD on the way and I dug up my trusty old RS 33-2055 digital SPL meter. I've heard that these, even with the .cal files are unreliable. Is anyone using these effectively?
I've also got a Phonic PAA3, which I hear is a bit more accurate, but only has XLR in/out. Would it be possible to somehow use this meter with REW?
Lot's of people. For subwoofer frequencies, we have a calibration file on the download page. No reason to believe that it isn't within a few dB. I can't imagine needing more for home use, since moving the meaurement device a few feet will create a far larger discrepency.

OOops, didn't even notice that. Just read the manual, and sure enough the XLR outputs are for test tones only. Thanks for saving me some time, I'll just use the RS meter then.
