| First measurements - with bass traps+eq Left chair, no EQ ![]() Left chair, with EQ ![]() Right chair, no EQ ![]() Right chair, with EQ ![]() Back row, middle-left (eq'd) ![]() Back row, middle-right (eq'd) ![]() The back row packs a wallop. I listened to Flight of the Phoenix here. When the plane rolls it hits something like 125db and feels like the air is being sucked out of the room. One of the few times that actually felt a little too loud. Left chair with EQ (same as above) ![]() Left chair with EQ but the rear left bass trap removed ![]() Note how just removing 1 bass trap immediately causes a significant notch to appear in the 95hz region. The left chair is my favorite seat so that's what I eq'd. The right chair has pretty similar response so the eq isn't too far off. Maybe I'll try an average curve and eq to that. The IB sub's deep extension is fairly obvious ![]() Jesse S. | |||

| Re: First measurements - with bass traps+eq Hum, interesting! What kind of bass trap did you remove? Did you try to measure sub+main too? I think that your main speakers should take over at 95Hz and you may not be able to see any differences when removing your bass trap ![]() You have probably seen it but removing your bass trap gives you higher levels around 150Hz too ...
