| M-Audio dead. Which one now? Hello, I was using my M-Audio USB mobilePre about a year ago. Just got it out for a friends IB, and it is not working. Warranty out of date. I can buy a new one for around $110, but I saw this one online. Wondered if it is comparable. M-Audio Fast Track US44010 USB Audio Interface with Session Software. It is selling for about half the price. Anyone tried this model? Will it suffice for what I need, which is taking measurements of IB and speakers?? Thanks all. | ||||

| Re: M-Audio dead. Which one now? Sorry that yours died. I have the same setup. Unfortunately, that's the cheapest for direct connection. An alternative is the USB soundcard and a cheap mixer, like the Behringer, but I think it ends up being about the same price or more. You do get 96kHz sampling, though, which is useful if you ever do more advanced speaker design and testing. I went with the Mobile Pre so that I could be completely wireless if I needed to (I have a side business as an installer). Good luck. | ||||
