OS to use for REW/other: MacOS X or WinXP on my iMac (not a OS war thread either)

I own a new iMac 24", and want to get into the calibration of my HT.

Basic question:
(not a OS wars flame question, please)

My iMac is running OS X 10.5x and I'd perfer to stick with that for the REW/other HT software.
However, if the WinXP version is "better" and/offer more features, etc, I can spend $70 and get Parrels/Fusion and then run it under that shell on my intel based iMac.

So;
Which way should I go (from the software standpoint?)
OS X or XP on my iMac?

I did a search and read some of the threads (quite old), and did not see this Q asked.

Thx for your feedback!

MikeR, sorry no one has gotten back to you on this thread. Usually the author of REW will respond to the MAC question, since I'm so un-educated in that regard. I'll send him a note and see if he can help out.

Either way, there are problems with the MAC running REW, although the latest version (in beta testing) is somewhat better. Perhaps John will be able to send you a copy. I do know that we have very positive reports from people running Leopard operating system who use REW.

It should be OK, at least with the latest beta version. Send me an email (john_mulcahy@hotmail.com) and I'll reply with a link to beta code to try.

Hi John, I'm new comer here, would like to try REW on internal sound card of my Macbook with OS X 10.4. Please send the latest beta version to me as well. I will send you my e-mail in due course, thanks.
