| Soundcard calibration problem Hello, I seem to have stumbled at the first hurdle while trying to set up the REW; as a complete layman I am totally dependent on the help instructions which I followed step by step trying to do the soundcard calibration but measurements produce totally crazy graphs like the example below: ![]() As the souncard works normally, I assume Iīm doing something wrong. I connected the line output with the line input using an interconnect cable. That is right, isntīt it? Any advice would be greatly appreciated! | ||||

| Re: Soundcard calibration problem Check for a monitor feature being turned on. This feature goes by many names, but it basically loops the output back to input internally to the soundcard. It's normal use is to hear what you are recording. REW requires it to be shut off............ | ||||

| Re: Soundcard calibration problem Thanks for your reply. Problem has been sorted out but in the end it lay elsewhere: I had been following the instruction to leave the input/output and input/output devices to default but in the end what I needed to do was choose the actual soundcard (Realtek AC97) and the intput as LINE-IN (just in case anyone is interested). Thank you!!!! Hours of frustration. This worked on my Realtek ALC888. Sort of. I think. Well, it's a of a lot better now anyway. I went from this: ![]() To this: ![]() By adjusting the settings as quoted above by the OP: ![]() | |||||
