| REW Not communicating with BFD1124P When I send the filter settings via REW I get no flashing store button and no filters (red led's on front of unit) showing stored. Also, how does one retreive filter settings from the BFD - the option is grayed out in REW (I have the midi-in connected to the BFD midi out) This is what I've done to this point: 1) Read-read-read forum posts 2) Verified I've version 1.4 (I purchased this unit last week) by powering up with FilterSelect held down 3) Purchased the M-audio UNO midi interfaced and installed it with Windows XP Pro 3) Carefully followed the steps in the help files - verfied comms in REW Settings is active(shows M-audio UNO as an option) 4) Verified M-audio midi out to BFD midi in and matched step-for-step REW help files setting up the BFD for midi. The BFD parameters match the help file/pictures step-by-step 5) Made sure Store Enabled was triggered on 6) took a quick measurement 7) Find Peaks/Assign Filters/Optimise PK filters 8) Attempt to send filters to BFD preset 4 Again, I see no lights of any kind on the BFD and REW does not complain anything is wrong. I verified no filters sent by manually looking at filter #'s 1-4 in preset 4 and it shows nothing. Any ideas? | |||

To observe the filters, you must use the BFD front panel.... Anyway, are you able to manually enter filters into the BFD from the front panel and get them to work OK? Have you tried swapping the IN - OUT cables? brucek

| Re: REW Not communicating with BFD1124P I'm a little confused. Why then the option in the Equalizer Tab to retreive filters? Or is that reserved for a different type of EQ say, the TAG Quote:

I thought about that but wasn't sure I'd break anything. I'll give that a try. Thanks, Mike Last edited by mstailey : 03-10-08 at 01:06 PM. Reason: fix format

You only require the single cable going to the BFD for REW to talk to it..... brucek

| Re: REW Not communicating with BFD1124P Well the problem of REW communicating with BFD is fixed thanks to brucek suggesting my swap of the midi cables. I guess I should have taken the marking on the M-Audio UNO cables stating to midi in and to midi out for face value instead of just assuming out ment in as the manual states. Don't I feel stupid... ![]() | |||
