| DLP 61" Neon green problem. There is a problem with my tv, there is a neon green color that is in-place of shadows/ dark colors. It doesn't happen all the time, but most. I don't have a clue where to start but I do know that the bulb has been recently replaced. Any help is greatly appreciated, thanks. | ||||

| Re: DLP 61" Neon green problem. Start by posting the exact model number and looking at the threads that have info for your model. Note that it is easier to find useful information when the model number is in the thread title. Note that we have now begun moving vendors to the new pull down option at the top of the forum pages. You will find it between "Shack Shopping" and "Glossary". This will represent a great improvement in the vendor reference database, making it easier than ever to find what you are looking for. Contact me with any suggested entries, category recommendations, or additional information about the vendors that we have. If you are a vendor and want your company listed, there is an option to provide us with the information. | ||||

| Re: DLP 61" Neon green problem. Seems like it is a common ailment. Here in Afghanistan where the MWR area is there are 4 tv's all of different brands but all exhibiting the same problem like you describe. | ||||

| Re: DLP 61" Neon green problem. It may be the connections on the DNIE chip, but you really should state the model number. | Re: DLP 61" Neon green problem. Can you post an image? If multiple sets of different brands have a similar problem, there is a good possibility that something else is going on. What are the signal conditions, input types, sources, etc? Are the sets internal menus affected? Note that we have now begun moving vendors to the new pull down option at the top of the forum pages. | Re: DLP 61" Neon green problem. We have cable so the signal should be good. All of the sources (cable, hdmi dvd, wii) are affected by it. The menus on the tv and on the cable aren't ever affected by it. Here are a couple pictures. I also just noticed on some of the football players white jerseys there was some neon pink. That is the only time I have seen the pink, but the green happens off and on. | ||||

| Re: DLP 61" Neon green problem. Several possibilities on this one. Is it affected by time or temperature? | Re: DLP 61" Neon green problem. Are there any other symptoms? Does it get worse gradually? True random occurrence is rare and very difficult to troubleshoot. Have you tried heating/cooling? | Re: DLP 61" Neon green problem. We use heat guns and freeze spray, or insulators such as blankets or plastic wrap and fans to increase and decrease temperature in various areas to isolate thermally affected, or effected, problems.
