Re: hlr5067wax/xaa

I tried putting pressure on the DNIE chip and it didn't do anything, So i'm guessing there is another problem with the digital board.

Re: hlr5067wax/xaa

some of the people didnt have luck with the pressure ether but they had luck with the solder reflow. you never know. it maybe 40 dollars down the drain or it could save you lots of money.

Just a question, but does the Digital Board (my part no BP94-02084A) control the onscreen display menus?

Re: hlr5067wax/xaa

it's like the main brains of the tv it can keep the onscreen from coming on but even when it's messed up lets say with the green plaid the menu shows up just fine and look normal.

Re: hlr5067wax/xaa

Hopefully i can figure this out. I changed the DMD Board out with no luck. It's doing the exact same thing it was before. I'm gonna change out the Digital Board and hopefully that help. Further investigation in the factory service manual (with the symptoms the tv has) says to the digital board more than to the DMD board. The flow chart says digital board so we'll see what happens. A read a bunch of threads and there more problems with the Digital board than the DMD Board. I just followed the manual and replacing the DMD Board didn't fix it.

Re: hlr5067wax/xaa

well i would of said to replace the digital board first. that or try to have it reflowed since its only like 40 dollars and if it works it saves you money if it doesnt work then it will cost 188 dollars for a replacement board. so ether way you would still have less into it then paying a repair shop. well even if you pay for a reflow and then have to pay for a board it would still be less

Re: hlr5067wax/xaa

I found a repaired and guaranteed digital board for 155.95 plus shipping. It will be here tuesday or wednesday. So I will put it in and see what it does. Hopefully I can put a post up here about my working tv. If anyone needs the info of the board post here. (I actually returned to the website and I bought the last one) but I have this I found on the website.

Maybe just another option to repair the boards.

Re: hlr5067wax/xaa

thats cool another place with boards. so far people have had great luck with the 40 dollar reflow counting shipping. but if that doesn't work this gives them another option. but it's not in stock now. it says sold. it must be a used board. also some parts cost more then going right to www.samsungparts.com when I was looking.

Re: hlr5067wax/xaa

I think the good thing about this one is that he can test the board and repair the parts that need to be replaced. That way when you get it back you know it's fixed. I'm not saying the guy at JDE is bad, I just remember reading he has no way of testing the board at the repair.
