No idea on the 0.3 meter issue. As for the low levels, post the problem in the REW forum. I'm sure someone will help you with that.

Re: New diy sub

The distance thing just sorta happens sometimes with multi eq. Do a couple runs to check the consistency of the results your getting with Audyssey, and make sure that when you run it, you do it the correct way with the mic. Following the method correctly I get very good results and they are pretty much identical every time.

With the levels, from what youve told me so far everything your doing is correct, and the only thing I can see where you could be making a mistake is the amps master volume before measuring.

Re: New diy sub

Telling you that is pointless, all levels are relative. Things like the distance from the mic will change the exact figures.

Re: New diy sub

Heres a new graph I have just done for the sub only. I changed the sub distance to 1.5metres as it was slightly better than 0.3 metres.

I can't seem to get my speakers levels up enough. I have the onkyo on -3db and the channel levels on +12 and i am only getting about 60db on the spl meter. The sub levels were ok.

cheers
graham

Re: New diy sub

So is this graph a max output graph, surely not? If its a normal graph running at the 75db cal level, then its not a bad base from which to eq from.

Re: New diy sub

dan,

how do you do the sub and speaker together. I cant remember. I have done the speaker one. Do I still have to check the levels of the sub/speakers together.

Yes that is based on 75db
