SONY kf42we620 LCD RPTV ballast?

any chance a ballast/igniter assy is available anywhere for the above mentioned LCD RPTV?

I have a call in, but I don't have a repair manual, so I can't refer to a part number.

Rumour has it there was a known defect in the original igniter assy, and a upgrade is apparently available. This case relates to a friends television in a rural location. (He's on in his years, and was never aware that he might possibly have some recourse - in spite of the display being out-of warrenty).

I know of no such problems with the lamp supply. These sets have had lots of problems with the light engines and blue spots or tracks. Sony extended the warranty on that problem, but IIRC it has now expired.
