Another 18" LLT

Building this for a local guy who's posted on here a few times I think. 24" sono as he couldn't get 28". Ended up with 510L tuned to 15.5Hz. Single 8" port. D2 sub powered by an EP2500.

I'll be painting the endcaps tonight, so I'll try and snap a few pics. Didn't take any of the build, but it's the standard: 3 endcaps, lined with batting, port tube wrapped in batting, etc.... Paint is Hammertone black, covering it in a charcoal/gray fabric, and legs are stained wood. Should look as good as a sono can, but the performance is what matters and he should be very happy.

Best part..............he has NOT told his wife about the monster that will soon be in their living room. LOL

Re: Another 18" LLT

Got to take it for a test run yesterday. Running off my Hypex amp, so it was getting 800watts, also has a SSF @ 20Hz. Sub still got plenty deep and sounded very good on musical tracks. Demo'd: U-571 Depth Charges, The Haunting, and Godsmack Drum Battle.

I have one pic that I need to upload. Plan to finish painting and get it wrapped in the next couple of days, so I'll get more pics then.

I'll try and get some pics in the next few days. Not much to look at, but it's HUGE for sure. I'd love to get a pic of his wife's face when he brings it home

Re: Another 18" LLT

He's finally picking it up. The sub was dropped off last October, so I'm rather happy to see it go.

Hard to make these monsters look good, but it's real purpose is to provide tons of LFE and that it does...
