SoundSplinter Mei Tai

Hey, guys.

My wife just finished my very own Mei Tai. A mei tai is an asian style baby carrier. It's the wife's DIY addiction, really. I had her make me one that complement my DIY achievement, so naturally it had to have an SS logo on it. The baby's asleep now, so no 'live' pictures, just some poor shots with a cellphone, but I'll get liveshots tomorrow with the baby in it.

And you new fathers out there, get one of these, they are awesome for carrying your baby in!

(Yes, that's a doll...)

The logo is embroidered with red silk thread, and the inside panel is red silk with black contrast as well.

Some more pictures:

The colours came out rather poor. It's black velour with a nice sheen, and deep red silk with a black 'sheen' to it. The sun was just too harsh for the camera, I guess...

The MeiTai itself, custom made to fit me

In use. This was the first time I had the baby on my back, I usually carry him on my front. He seemed happy back there.

Hehe! Thanks!

I've actually got the stuff ready to make fabrick socks for my Sonos with that logo on there too. That's gonna look awesome, I think.
