| Re: Show off your SoundSplinter masterpieces! I am sure happy with Mike's RLP-15's....I stuck two of them along with 4 - 15" passive radiators and powered with a QSC 1450 amp bridged to mono. I've got the voice coils wired in series to present the amp with an 8 ohm load and it's awsome. 800 to 900 watts bridged @ 8 ohms. These puppies can really reach low with the passives, both at high and low listening levels. Music concerts are so lifelike! Many friends come over to listen to their favorite. We had a Nine Inch Nail bash the other night with their latest release..... Photos can be seen at:http://s18.photobucket.com/albums/b148/mfishmike/ I'm trying to figure out a project with his new 18" coming out soon! Well, I've decided to leave the 18" project alone because my subwoofer had a baby recently. They are identical twins! All families need to be close together so I stacked 'em! | Re: Show off your SoundSplinter masterpieces! Yes, 5 times. The sub, mains, and center speaker went through 4 rebuilds each until I got them like I wanted them. The crossovers were the toughest bullet to bite. I must have rebuilt each of them 5 or 6 times. The center speaker sounded like a match box until I hit the right crossover, and Wow....what voice and sound reproduction.....By running my mains (Lambda woofers) and Scan Speak mids in parallel, I probably gained about 6db more. I've got 4 amps and two extra electrical circuits ran to the system.Last edited by Mike Cason; 02-23-08 at 10:11 AM. | |||
