How are you using your RL-p15?

I'm curious how many people are using their RL-p15s in sealed, ported, IB, or other types of enclosures. Feel free to post specifics about yours, but I thought a poll would be a good way to get info from lots of people, since they wouldn't be forced to write a whole post.

There seem to be a lot of big ported enclosures, but I wonder if that's actually what most people are using, or if those people are the ones who tend to brag the most about their subwoofers.

Four RL-P15's in an IB manifold driven by an EP2500.... flat to 10Hz (can't measure below that with my equipment), measured 120db + at 15 feet... too scary to go beyond that

Darren,
That IB setup is nuts. I couldn't imagine putting that much in my attic. Does your house have a resonant frequency.

Re: How are you using your RL-p15?

While my IB is quite impressive in output it is small in comparison to some

My setup will displace 16 liters of air, I think my house resonant frequency is somewhere around 12Hz if the walls moving are any indication!

I've got the same setup as Darren, but just haven't installed it yet. I'm waiting on cooler weather and the grass to stop growing so I can start the project.

Wow, so you are powering four RL-p15s with only one EP2500 and getting that kind of responce? How many watts per sub is that?

I'm building a ported enclosure for a single RL-P 15, but eventually I'd like to set up a IB sub.

Sealed at the moment. Ported next. After that, probably IB.

Dual RLP 15" 2 ohm DVC with 4 15" passive radiators loaded to 1100 grams each. Re-wired all 4 coils to series wiring, 8 ohms to amp, QSC 1450 bridged to mono. Performs great. Plan to start on another just like it now that I've got a spare QSC amp. Crisp clean lows with the passives. Low volumes or high.
