I know TC Sounds is gone and Sounds Splinter get their stuff from them. The SS site is still up can you order from them?

Of course you can! Now whether or not the driver you hope for is in stock at the moment, is another question. However, I still have a not insignificant amount of money invested in new drivers (RL-p18's and RL-i8's) that should arrive during the first quarter of 2010; still plan to operate this business and will still respond to all inquiries including orders and requests to be placed on the wait list for any products that may not be currently available.

I'm looking for a RL-i8 or RL-i10 to put in the trunk of a car. I don't really care about how loud it is, I just want good tight bass. However I also need it in a small box so it will take up minimal space.

While I can't help you with the RL-i8's at this very instance, I do have a similar TC2+ based 8" woofer available for $145 + shipping, as well as RL-i10 D4's available to ship immediately. Both of these drivers can be used in the car audio environment within very small sealed enclosures (0.2 cu ft minimum on the 8 and 0.4 cu ft minimum on the 10) powered with 500 watts each.
