| Swapping RL-p15 for RL-p18 I may have the opportunity to swap my 15s for 18s. I have a Klipsch THX Ultra2 system with KL-650 LCR and KS-525 rears. The 15s are driven by an EP2500, in LLT 13Hz sonotubes. They do a good job, but there's no substitute for displacement. I would make new sonotube LLT enclosures for the 18s. What would the benefits be, and would it be worth the effort? I can comfortably do reference level with any program material with my 15s. What kind of extension would I likely see? My 15s reach around 11Hz at reference with no complaints. | ||||

| Re: Swapping RL-p15 for RL-p18 You'd gain around 5dB around 20Hz I suppose? | ||||

| Re: Swapping RL-p15 for RL-p18 Yeah, 5dB that I really don't need... Although, 5dB better sensitivity translate into less distortion, and maybe enough displacement to experiment with an IB or something.... | ||||
