Look at these beauties....

Done with a Bosch jigsaw not following any physical guide, just the pencil lines ! After router...roundover of the inside of braces.

Did a total of 17 braces so far. Just finished a few hours ago.

More pics to follow...and assembly next Sunday. WIll have all the parts to assemble FOUR 13cu ft cabinets.

Ouais il fait pas chaud icitte....

No the weather is not Florida like, matter not I have a large room in the basement roughly 80 feet by 60 feet by 15 feet high...larger space where I work on my projects.

Minus forty outside...no problems.

EAR,

I run dual 15" RL-P's each in 10cubes @ 19Hz and really like them. Off of 400watts each they're rather impressive. You'll be quite pleased when you get to hear yours.

I remember reading your posts on the Klipsch forum and you were rather opposed to DIY subs, nice to see you come full circle.

Keep the pics coming...

Re: Dual RLp 15" drivers, and hello to the Shacksters

Opposed, not opposed...just did not have time to start building my own.

Now time is here(a bit of time anyway)and I know very well I can do much better than commercial subs(dollar for dollar).Plus get true deep bass and SPL that meets what I am looking for,not what some designer decided upon.

You'll be well rewarded for your efforts. The RL-P's are excellent subs: great SQ and plenty of low extension.

Looking awesome, flare looks great, assembly looks nice and tight and very well braced. You can tell when someone puts that extra effort into a project and I'm sure that will come through in the final result. Keep em coming, and I'm looking forward to today/tomorrow's update and new pics!

Yes, some techno with some deep bass and pipe organ recordings passed the test...

This red machine performs. It does not look ...it is one massive monster.

And I have to stack an identical on top...

Bright sub!! Wow, you're not hiding that one away in any corners, are you? lol. It looks pretty cool though, and I bet it's going to look awesome in baltic birch... what about staining it? It would probably look beautiful stained to match those speakers in the bottom pic!

Re: Dual RLp 15" drivers, and hello to the Shacksters

Owen,

Thank ,yes a clear coat looks great.I made a few sample pieces. And the piant in near perfect, the shadows you may see come from my greasy hands...I have to clean the sub.

Three coats of primer, seven coats of paint went into this one ! 2.5L of primer/paint !!

Was it worth it,totally. Anyone who has the gift of sight will take notice. The pictures do not do this thing much justice.
